A person named Konstantinos Dalassenos was a noted military commander under emperor Alexius I Comnenus (1081-1118), and appears in the work of Anna Komnene. He commanded the left wing of the Byzantine army in a battle against the Pechenegs in 1091, became a fleet commander and was dispatched against Tzachas, the Emir of Smyrna. There are multiple seal types from the 11th century mentioning this name, but it is, unfortunately, not possible to be certain which of them belong to Alexios' general
